6 Rules of Prepress in CorelDraw
When you finished your artwork in CorelDraw you should prepare it to publish. This is prepress stage. There are 6 basic rules how to do prepress in CorelDraw correct.

1. All text convert in curves (go to Edit→Select All→text, press ctrl+q).

2. All pictures must be in CMYK 300 or 600 dpi (select picture, go to Bitmaps−Convert to Bitmap, choose Color mode — CMYK, choose Resolution — 300 or 600 dpi).

3. All objects with effects (e.g. lens effect, shadow etc) convert in bitmap (select object with effect, go to Bitmaps→Convert to Bitmap, choose Color mode — CMYK, choose Resolution — 300 or 600 dpi, if object has transparent effect choose Transparent Background).

4. All containers convert in bitmap (select container, go to Bitmaps−Convert to Bitmap, choose Color mode — CMYK, choose Resolution — 300 or 600 dpi).

5. All fills and outlines must be in CMYK color mode, all fountain fills must be converted in bitmap (select object with fountain fill, go to Bitmaps→Convert to Bitmap, choose Color mode — CMYK, choose Resolution — 300 or 600 dpi).

6. Check all the document (go to File→Document Info — if your document is ready to be published you’ll see:
Text Statistics — There no text objects in this documents;
Bitmap Objects — All bitmap objects are in CMYK color mode;
Effects — There no effects used in this documents;
Fills — all fills in CMYK;
Outlines — all outlines in CMYK.
